1.  The bounty for MyDoom's creator is now $500,000 because
Microsoft has added to it.

2. Gateway is offering to buy EMachines for $235,000,000.
Ted Waitt, the current CEO of Gateway, offered to step aside and let
EMachines' current CEO run the combined corporation which will
then become the largest computer company in the US after Hewlett-Packard
and Dell.

3. Get the 2nd annual list of the internet's top 10 security flaws at
http://www.esecurityplanet.com/trends/article.php/3305981 .

4. Google wants to put a stop to Booble, a look-alike privately
owned pornography search website. They are
arguing it is just a cheap knock-off. Google gives the owners one week
to shut down and give up the domain name or face a lawsuit.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 29, 2004

1.  There is a new virus on the internet call Novarg or Mydoom.
It is spreading more rapidly than any other virus except for Sobig.
Go to the Symantec AntiVirus Research Center for more information.
This is now targeting Microsoft instead of SCO.com.
SCO is offering a $250,000 bounty leading to the capture of Mydoom's creator(s).

2.  Spirit sent back its first picture from Mars
since the on-board flash memory was overloaded
and caused the system to shut down.

3. First, Microsoft was filing lawsuits against Mike Rowe for copyright infringement
after he created mikerowesoft.com, but now they paid for him to register a different
domain name, mikeroweforums.com and Mike Rowe has friendship will Bill Gates.

4. Former president Bill Clinton only sent two e-mails while in office,
a test message and greeting to John Glenn in 1998.
